3/07/2008 | Hundreds of residents around Bathurst will open their hearts and homes next week to more than 1300 pilgrims from around the world who will descend on the city in the lead up to World Youth Day. Days in the Diocese: Together Under the Southern Cross will run from July 9-14 and is an opportunity for the country to embrace the spirit that World Youth Day embodies and share in a cultural exchange in the context of faith.
3/07/2008 | AN ORANGE woman already serving a gaol sentence for recklessly driving a stolen car she crashed into a tree had been driving under the influence of prohibited drugs. The defendant Leigh Clarke, 30, had been convicted on serious driving charges before police obtained a forensic report that led to Clarke pleading guilty at the Bathurst Court House to driving under the influence of drugs about 1pm on Thursday November 8 last year in Orange.

3/07/2008 | THE future of Bathurst basketball appears to be in good hands, if the number of local players attending this years national titles are anything to go by. With four players being selected across three teams, Bathurst can boast its highest ever number of players representing NSW in the one year.
3/07/2008 | She would love winners but Sarah Murray-Leslie has had to settle for a string of seconds after Phaeton finished second in the Q-Racing Function Centre Rating 57 Handicap (900m) in Queanbeyan on Monday. The result follows the two second placings within a week by another of Murray-Leslie’s gallopers, Moment of Clarity at her home track in Bathurst.
